PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Leads and coordinates all optimization, standardization, and quality improvement initiatives of regional ESD operations, determining approach to address all programs and issues.. Supports and facilitates the Region Leadership team to improve performance by utilizing continuous improvement methods and projects. Provides technical leadership to the team. • Documents improvement process learning and shares best practices with other business unit continuous improvement teams and the continuous improvement program team • Identifies and communicates operations and service metrics and trends to ensure consistency across locations. • Establishes operations and quality standards and coordinates execution of day-to-day processes and practices, driving process improvements, developing appropriate audit systems and process efficiencies to optimize workforce focus and value-added processes and functions. • Stays current on manufacturing and operations improvement processes and tools (six sigma, lean manufacturing, etc.) and educates critical people in the organization on approaches to improve operations and processes. • Develops long-term strategy for advancements of day-to-day operations and operational improvements using LEAN Manufacturing approach. • Collaborates with ESD management defining scope and financial justification for each improvement opportunity and establishes, monitors, and reports key metrics of opportunity improvement status. • Collaborates with Continuous Improvement Leaders and other regional Continuous Improvement teams to develop and evolve Continuous Improvement and Best Business Practice training materials, classes, workshops, tools and methods. • Oversees operational benchmarking, development of Standard Operating Procedures, and optimization of all ESD Facilities. • Develops best practices for the ESD waste handling process. • Participates and monitors deployment from initiation through delivery. Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer service goals. . • Develops, reviews, monitors, and approves service and operations specific performance plans and metrics. • Advises organization on operational optimization, standardization, and quality process improvement and standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
